THE LIEBSTER AWARD TAG

A lot of you may have never heard of Liebster award, and neither had I! Up until a couple of days ago, I had no idea what it was all about. But thanks to the amazing Kirsty, who nominated me, I now know about it (BTW Kirsty has a kick ass blog you guys should check it out and follow her!) The Liebster award is a not fancy award ceremony, but it’s more of a way to acknowledge fellow bloggers and spread the love.

The rules are you answer a few questions, set by the blogger that nominated you. Then you nominate 5 bloggers and you state 11 random facts about you.

QUESTIONS

What top 3 beauty items could you not live without?

Mascara, concealer and eye liner. Actually, until early this year that was all I used to use! I recently started experimenting with make up and wearing eye shadow, blush , highlighter … But before that, I had one look with those three products.

Fashion or Beauty – if you had to pick only one.

If I had to pick one it would be fashion. I’ve loved fashion since I was little, trying on my moms clothes and jewelry. It wasn’t until recently that I’ve become interested in make up.

What is the idea behind your blog?

I first started my blog as a way to document my experiences and thoughts. I have a terrible memory, so by having a blog, I can store these memories in form of posts, kind of like a diary. I used to blog only about my outings and travels later I branched out more. Every once in a while I go back to old posts and relive things I’ve done in the past.

What’s your ideal holiday?

Somewhere tropical, Thailand, Bali, Maldives… Lots of sun and sand beaches 🙂

If you were given 1 million pounds to spend in 24hr, how would spend it? (You can’t put it in your savings, you must spend it)

I will use a 100k to plan and book many, many flights (and hotel rooms) for me and my hubby. That would set me up to spend the year traveling around the world (which is a dream of ours). The rest of it will be donated to charities. If you do good, good will come back to you!

How would you describe yourself in 3 words?

Clumsy, Impatient, Sensitive.

What’s the most embarrassing thing you have done?

I’ve used the men’s bathroom several times when the woman’s one had a huge line. (Hey, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do!)

What advice would you give to your younger self and to younger girls?

Stop being shy! You’ll miss out on so much. Take chances and stop trying to please everyone. Sometimes, mistakes are good! You’ll grow stronger and learn from them.

What’s your all time favorite dessert?

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM!!!

Tea or Coffee?

Tough one! I honestly love both, but if I had to choose, it would be tea (little “T” likes her tea, got it? “T” for Tamara… cute? nah…)

What would you do for entertainment, if you had no internet for the day?

I would grab my camera and drive somewhere new. I love exploring new places, especially through my lens. I’d probably try some weird food too. And do a little shopping. Hey one can ‘explore’ at Sephora, right?

RANDOM FACTS ABOUT ME 

1. I’m only 5′ 2″.
2. I love trying weird food. I’ve eaten snails, pigs ears, cow stomach, ox balls and other intimate organs, sea snails, jellyfish and more…
3. I have a small scar right next to my left eye.
4. I did eventually graduate as an interior designer, but I hated it!
5. After uni, I couldn’t drink coffee for 4 years. (too many all-nighters)
6. I got married twice to the same guy, details here.
7. When I was a kid I would only eat chocolate and lemon ice cream.
8. I’m now addicted to the Harry Potter series. But when the first movie came out, I hated it.
9. I’m mean when I wake up. I need 5 minutes by myself before I can talk to people (including my hubby).
10. My energy peaks around 11:00pm (when everyone else is getting ready to bed).
11. I hate the feeling of wet clothes on my skin. Even just a drop on a wet sleeve will drive me nuts!
