As much as I love food, I also love reviewing it…as you might have noticed from my posts. Anyways, one of my favorite portals for reviewing is Yelp.
Few weeks ago, I have been chosen to be one of the 2015 elite yelpers in the bay area! For a foodie geek like me that was exciting news. Becoming an elite have a lots of perks, one of them is that you get invited to exclusive elite parties. And the first one of this year was a pizza valentine party. Now that’s a valentine party!
Last Tuesday, a bunch of elite yelpers got together some solos, some with their significant other or a best friend, for a night full of pizza and fun. The party was held at Take One Pizza in South of San Francisco.
As soon as we entered, we were greeted by the lovely Candice our community manager.
As we were waiting to order, we passed by the DIY Valentine cards station. Super cute and super funny, full with teen heartthrobs, shirtless wrestlers and cute stickers. Nothing says I love you like a half naked naked picture of a very muscly and mean looking man. GRRRR!!!!
Take One Pizza’s concept is that you make your own pizza by picking all the toppings and the sauces or you can order one of their specialities. R & I decided on some toppings and made our own!
After we ordered our pizzas and got our drinks, R & I went mingling with the other elite yelpers, chit chatting about life, work and of course food
Then it was time for Valentine bingo!
The theme of the game was Romantic movies and we were using pink M&M’s to check each title we got right. Not your typical Bingo!
Some of these M&M ‘s were magically lost and somehow ended up in our mouth… So we ended up checking them with a pen.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t very lucky in the game nor was R, but a lot people did win. The winners got fancy bottles of wine or a heart shaped chocolate box, to match the Valentine’s theme.
But everybody got a small yelp souvenir at the end of the night.
The night was lots of fun and a nice way to get to know my fellow yelpers. Can’t wait to go to the upcoming events.
I’ll keep you posted!
